Photo Diaries: New Lurker

I had a real eerie feeling staying at the New Yorker hotel once., where the room decor was trapped in the 1930's with a old stench of a cigarette and hearing your neighbors quarrel. I didn't know what to expect as my imagination began to move in motion of old ghostly figures of yesteryear.
This city definitely chipped my tooth.....several times.

Photo Diaries: New York City

Pictures worth a few words....Honesty is the best policy

East Village, New York City 2010
I've been studying this photo since I have developed it and can't help to notice the penmanship behind the sign. It's very similar to the infamous Banksy handwriting style. This dude was spoted walking down 2nd avenue facing the all the outdoor restaurants.....Could this be a Bansky Conspiracy?

Photo Diaries: New York City

This is one of my favorite photos and prolly will go on the wall one day to remind me of my days living in the Lower East Side. I like the perspective and anomalies of it. Lower East Side, NYC 2010.

It's crazy to hear stories from native New Yorkers or people that been here over 15 years saying how parks was never a destination to walk through or to hang out at. Parks mainly used back then by junkies, homeless, rapist, murderers etc. In 2010 you can find Madison Square Park very black in white for what it was known for to what you see it as now. Photo Diaries: Coney Island, Brooklyn, NY

I love come coming here. I left out some gems that i took and saving them for something. But theres a few. Coney Island rules!

Wonder what?

Brace your neck too! Shits gnar!
12" x 18" Framed - Sold

The best seat on the most sketchiest roller coaster. I had to ride it twice just to take this shot of the first drop because cameras aren't allowed on the ride. A split second before I almost lost my camera. Dangerous.

The sun, surf, bbq, beers and the projects. Coney island is awesome!

Kids fishing. Never in my life i would think that Tyson chicken would be good for bait. I wonder if it's a east coast thing. Used to catch blue crab, flounder and whatever bites....and it works.

I like this one. Wish the dude wasn't there so you can read, No swimming. Nothings perfect except this dudes dive form!
12" x 18" Framed - SOLD (2)

Couples only jump.

Kids yelling at one another to jump off the pier.

"Papi" I blew it on this photo. This bike had the raddest airbrush. It was very heavy metal!

Photo Diaries: LES, NYC

The best musicians can be heard on the streets of NYC. A sax player on the corner of 1st ave and houston soothing the air behind the noise pollution of the Lower East Side.

It's only a matter of time and money when I get started on one of my obsessions with building a bike from the ground up. Soon enough. I love hearing bikes roar down the street. Theres a few always outside on my street in the mix of bars that I live around.

Photo Diaries: WK Interact

This is my first year I moved to NY in 2004. WK had a studio on stanton street were he practiced his art and also freely decorated the streets with it. You still can find his artwork all over the Lower East Side. People still respect this dudes work and dont go over it with if not the city cleaning up with a Graffiti free NYC campaign.

WK interact is still one of my favorite street artist amoung a handful of living greats.

Photo Diaries: Los Angeles

What I love about film photographs today is the anticipation of looking foward in seeing what you captured where a complete mistake can be your best photographs. I have about over 20 rolls of film sitting in my fridge that waits to be processed where shot within a 10 year span from when I lived in Hawaii, Los Angeles and New York City with little pockets of travels in between. I'm in no rush to get these develop but made a point years and years ago to have this personal time capsule of what I captured to remind me of a time that was once forgotten.

Here's a few photographs from 2003

Downtown, LA 2003

I clearly remeber this photo. I was lost in a East LA neighborhood where street signs was blacked out so you can get lost easily and be a target of some sort. I felt panicked.

Its still the wild wild west in Coney Island. I can see why Woody Allen was attracted to this area. Can't really describe it., you gotta go there for yourself and see what really goes on and feel the vibe .
